Plain English summary: We collect only what we need to run the app. We don't sell your data. Your load data and personal information stays private. Third-party AI services (Google Gemini and Anthropic Claude) process target photos and load data when you use those premium features.
1. Who We Are
PrecisionLoad ("we," "us," or "our") is a mobile application for reloading data tracking and AI-powered analysis, developed by PrecisionLoad LLC, a North Carolina limited liability company. You can contact us at support@precisionload.ai.
2. What Data We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account information: Email address and authentication credentials when you sign up via email/password or Google Sign-In.
- App data you enter: Load recipes, firearms records, session logs, inventory items, and any other data you input into the app.
- Target photos: Images you submit for AI analysis (Premium feature only). These are transmitted to Google's Gemini API for processing.
- Usage data: Basic analytics such as screen views and feature usage, collected via Firebase Analytics to help us improve the app.
- Crash reports: Automatic crash reports via Firebase Crashlytics to help us fix bugs.
- Device information: Device type, operating system version, and app version for support and compatibility purposes.
3. How We Use Your Data
- To provide and operate the PrecisionLoad app and its features
- To authenticate your account and keep it secure
- To process AI target analysis requests (Premium feature)
- To generate AI load development suggestions (Premium feature)
- To send you important service communications (not marketing)
- To diagnose and fix technical issues
- To improve the app based on usage patterns
4. Third-Party Services
PrecisionLoad uses the following third-party services to operate. Each has its own privacy policy:

5. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored in Google Firebase's cloud infrastructure, which is hosted in the United States. We implement reasonable security measures including:
- Firestore security rules that restrict access so only you can read and write your own data
- Firebase Authentication for secure account management
- HTTPS encryption for all data in transit
- Firebase App Check to prevent unauthorized access to our backend
No system is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. We share data only in these limited circumstances:
- With the third-party services listed in Section 4 that are necessary to operate the app
- If required by law, court order, or government authority
- To protect the rights, property, or safety of PrecisionLoad, our users, or others
- With your explicit consent
7. AI Features and Your Data
When you use Premium AI features:
- Target Analysis: Photos you submit are sent to Google's Gemini API. Google's data handling practices apply to this processing. We recommend not submitting photos containing personally identifiable information.
- Load Development Suggestions: Your load data (powder charges, velocities, SD/ES values) is sent to Anthropic's Claude API. We send only the technical data needed for analysis — no personal information.
8. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as you maintain an active account. If you delete your account, we delete all your associated data from Firestore and Firebase Storage within 30 days. Some data may be retained in automated backups for up to 90 days.
9. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about you
- Correction: Update inaccurate data (you can do this directly in the app)
- Deletion: Delete your account and all associated data from within the app (Settings → Delete Account)
- Portability: Request an export of your data

10. Children's Privacy
PrecisionLoad is not intended for use by anyone under 21 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.
11. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)
California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act. We do not sell personal information. California residents may request disclosure of personal information collected, used, or shared, and may request deletion. Contact us at support@precisionload.ai to exercise these rights.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting a notice in the app or sending an email. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
